Pool Filter Repair and Installation
All Inclusive 7 Year Pool Filter Warranty
The only 7 year pool filter warranty in the industry. Fact check us!
Whats Included?
Everything... From inlet to outlet. Every seal, every part including cartridges until your maintenance schedule demands you replace the cartridges which is every 4 years so no nickel and diming there
Now we know companies like to make a list of items and exclude this or that so we wanted to make it absolutely clear on what's covered. If it isn't inside the green circle it isn't covered. Everything inside the green circle is covered.
We cover workman defects, product defects and even normal wear and tear. The manufacturer only covers defects for one year. If you spend $50,000-$100,000 on a brand new pool, they might extend it to 3 years but still wouldn't cover wear and tear. Were confident in our products and quality of service so we do 7 years across the board.
As a pool owner you already know you need to clean your filter 2-4 times a year as recommended by the manufacturer. You already pay someone to do this separate from normal maintenance. All we require is that you do it through us.
- We clean your filter once every 4 months (3x a year)
- At 4 years you replace your cartridges and seals.
*Yes, if your cartridges go bad for some reason before 4 years, we'll replace them.
That's it. These are items you need to do regardless and this is a one sided contract you control. Once we install your filter, we will schedule a cleaning every 4 months. Every Filter clean we extend your warranty until your next cleaning for up to 7 years. If at any time you decide you don't want to continue we stop and coverage ends. It's that Simple.
Nothing... if any instance of non coverage arises, once remedied properly and maintenance schedule is continued we will resume full warranty coverage.
Did a storm blow a tree onto your equipment? Did ice fly from heaven and hit your filter, Did lightning strike. We cannot cover equipment destroyed by nature. These are obvious and almost never happen but it bears mentioning. Acts of God are not caused or controlled by humans and are not limited to the few mentioned here. We’re in no way obligated to cover damage from this instance but give us a call anyway we love to go above and beyond and always find a way to kick ass for our customer.
Damage from Human error due to improper usage, installation of nearby equipment or deliberate destruction. If this is the case and it almost never is, we will point it out clear as day. They are usually obvious. Like a heater melting nearby plumbing, or saw marks on a new filter, or nearby chemical feeder improperly installed causing volatile chemicals to ruin the filter internally. YES, WE'VE SEEN ALL OF THESE and can clearly point them out so you know we’re not working our way out of are end of the deal. While I can’t promise we will in every case, nearly every time we’ve seen an instance in this category we’ve either covered it anyways or come to an agreement to fix at cost and continue coverage. I think we said this already but we love to go above and beyond and always find a way to kick ass for our customer.
And remember, your old filter is left to its devices and never touched until its cleaned, just do that again and you'll be ok.
Extreme algae or What we call the Paint clause.
This is not a little green algae on the wall(s) or even an algae bloom in the water. This bug-a-boo is extreme neglect of water quality resulting in swamp like conditions that result in severe damage to your filter. There will be indisputable evidence in your filter as well as the pool that any of us will bother arguing over. In most cases you may need to replace cartridge's , remedy the pool and continue coverage. Damage to filter body is almost never a result of this but it is possible. We wouldn’t be obligated to cover it but call us anyways we probably will.
As for the paint clause. We once had a customer paint his entire deck and the company cover the surface of the water in paint. This subsequently coated and bonded to the cartridges in the filter completely ruining them. They asked us to clean them and it was impossible. This isn't limited to paint. Anything that is added to the pool in abnormal quantities and directly ruins the filter would qualify. To be clear, in over a decade i have had this happen 3 times. It is rare and in every instance the customer fully understood. The good news, you'll likely only need new cartridges and even better, its unlikely to happen in the first place.

Sand Filters
Sand filters use a bed of sand to filter dirt and debris from the water. As the pool water is pushed through the sand, particles are trapped between the sand grains.
Pros of a sand pool filter:
- Low Maintenance: They require backwashing (reversing the flow of water to flush out contaminants) and only need sand replacement every 5-7 years.
- Cost-Effective: Generally less expensive than other types of filters.
- Ease of Use: Simple to operate and understand.
Cons of a sand pool filter:
- Lower Filtration Quality: They typically filter out particles down to 20-40 microns, which is less effective than other types.
- Water Usage: Backwashing can waste water.
Cartridge Filters
These filters use a replaceable filter cartridge, usually made of polyester or other fabric-like material, which traps debris as the water passes through.
Pros of a cartridge pool filter:
- Higher Filtration Quality: They can filter out smaller particles (about 10-15 microns) than sand filters.
- Less Water Waste: No backwashing is needed; cartridges are removed and cleaned with a hose.
- Energy Efficient: They operate at a lower pressure, which can mean less strain on the pool pump and energy savings.
Cons of a cartridge pool filter:
- Maintenance: The filter cartridges need to be cleaned regularly and replaced every 1-3 years.
- Higher Initial Cost: Typically more expensive to purchase than sand filters.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE) Filters
DE filters use a fine powder made from the fossilized remains of diatoms to filter the pool water. The DE coats a set of grids or fingers inside the filter, trapping particles as water passes through.
Pros of a DE pool filter:
- Highest Filtration Quality: Can filter out the smallest particles (down to about 3-5 microns), offering the clearest water.
- Efficient Cleaning: Backwashing is typically quick and effective.
Cons of a DE pool filter:
- Maintenance: Requires adding DE powder after each backwashing, and the grids/fingers need periodic thorough cleaning.
- More Expensive: Higher initial cost and cost of DE powder.
- Health Considerations: Care must be taken when handling DE powder, as it can be harmful if inhaled.
